Recently, Shepherd’s Huts holidays have risen in popularity as a captivating, distinctive holiday option. Initially created by shepherds in the UK to provide shelter while tending to their sheep, they have since been reimagined as quaint, rustic retreats!
One of the benefits of booking a Shepherd’s Hut for a getaway is the opportunity to escape the busyness of life, and reconnect with nature. Our 4 Shepherd’s Huts are located in our campsite in West Sussex, with 2 of them sporting stunning views of Sumners Lake.
When staying in one of Sumners Ponds’ Shepherd’s Huts, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, such as walking, dog walking, fishing, cycling, and birdwatching.
Shepherd’s Hut Near Me
Shepherd’s Huts are perfect for solo travelers or couples due to their compact size. They are aslightly more rustic and back-to-basic style of holiday, but it is a truly unique and exciting opportunity to stay in such an unusual accommodation.
Here is a little bit about each of our four Shepherd’s Huts:
Each hut is furnished with a comfy memory foam double bed with clean white linen and cosy throws. There is a rustic table and stools next to a wood-burning stove so you will stay cosy and warm even on the chilliest evenings.
There is a small fridge for essentials like milk and a kettle along with complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. There aren’t any toilet and shower facilities in the huts but the luxury state-of-the-art amenity block is less than a minute walk away.
