Camping and Caravanning

There are five camping areas at Sumners Ponds; Bluebell Park, Ribbon Park, Sumners Park, The Rally Field and The Family Field.

Bluebell Park

Bluebell Park is particularly suitable for families especially those with young children as there is a play area in the middle of the camping area and it is adjacent to the Bluebell Woods. There are a mixture of hardstanding gravel and grass pitches so all unit types can be accommodated.

✔ All pitches have electric hook-up.

✔ Toilet and Shower block within this area, with two male and two female shower cubicles.

✔ Digital television connections on all pitches except 37 and 38.

✔ Play area for young children.

Ribbon Park

Ribbon Park is situated in between Farm Pond and Ribbon Lake, and is ideal for anglers and campers of all ages. This camping area is a mixture of grass and hardstanding gravel pitches. There are also two premium lakeside pitches in Ribbon Park which sit on the Farm Pond; pitches 66a and 67a which are both hardstanding gravel. 

PITCHES 52 and 53 WILL BE LAKESIDE FROM DECEMBER 2025.

✔ Large Toilet and Shower block within this area, with three male and four female shower cubicles.

✔ Family and disabled wash-room facilities.

✔ Digital television connections on all pitches.

Sumners Park

Sumners Park is the original camping area positioned around The Sumners Lake and Farm Pond. This is the most tranquil area of the campsite and is most suited to those wanting to fish as the majority of the lakeside pitches are in this area.

✔ All pitches have electric hook-up.

✔ Large Toilet and Shower block within this area, with three male and four female shower cubicles.

✔ Family and disabled wash-room facilities.

✔ Most pitches have lakeside views.

The Rally Field

The Rally Field is a large camping field. This area is perfect for a summer weekend away enjoying back to basics camping with beautiful views across the Ribbon Lake. This field is NOW AVAILABLE TO BOOK ONLINE VIA OUR WEBSITE.

✔ All pitches are non-electric.

✔ Large Toilet and Shower block a short walk away, with three male and four female shower cubicles.

✔ Back to basics camping suited to those just staying for the weekend.

✔ Communal Fridge and Freezer Space 

✔ Large 10m x 10m pitches.

The Family Field

The Family Field is situated in a more secluded area of the farm away from the campsite, next door to our Match Lake.

The Family Field is ideally suited to group bookings or for those wishing for a more private camping experience in our beautiful corner of West Sussex.

The hire of the Family Field includes exclusive use of this particular part of Sumners with its very own mini–Shower Block, Toilets and Fire Pit provided.

Well behaved dogs are welcome onto campsite but should remain on a lead at all times. Only one car is permitted for each pitch. 

All electric scooters are forbidden onsite! Guests will be asked to leave if rules are not followed as per our T&C’s.

Awnings are prohibited this winter, guests are unable to select one on campmanager. T&C’s apply to these bookings, winter dates are 01/11/23  to 01/03/24. Porch Awnings that cover the door only are allowed.

Groups Policy: Maximum of three pitches to a group. No more than three tents, caravans, motorhomes, accommodation units or a combination of staying together on site. Those causing a disturbance or seen to be breaking our groups policy may be asked to leave without a refund. All of our rules are in place to ensure that everyone’s stay with us is as enjoyable as possible.

Age Restrictions: At least one member of each booking must be aged 21 years or over.

Minimum Stay: Two nights at weekends and during school holidays, minimum of three nights at bank holiday weekends and minimum stay of four nights at Easter weekend.

      New Site development for Summer/Autumn 2024

The entrance to the site is currently under construction. These works will continue in  Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm and on Saturdays 8am -1pm.

Entrance to the site is part of the new development and will be ongoing in 2024/25. The current entrance has changed. Please be careful when entering site and maintain a low speed, please bare in mind of guests leaving. 

Farm Pond is undergoing major works and will be closed for November 2024. Expect machinery and works noise from 9am to 5pm throughout the month.
