Visit us for a lovely walk:

We have many different walking routes that are perfect for families and dog walkers.

Take in the scenes of our lovely ponds, walk through our woods, and explore the different campsites.

We also have a secure dog exercise paddock called the Dog Meadow. It’s the perfect place to let your dog run free in a safe and secure environment. Specially designed, six-foot fencing with smaller mesh at lower levels should ensure peace of mind for any dog owner.

Say hi to the calves:

It’s calving season here at Sumners Ponds!

Calving season happens in Springtime, and so we have a bunch of very cute and fluffy calves running around.

Come on over and say hi. They love the fuss and attention!

Bite to eat and something to drink:

Our Cafe by the Lake is not only a perfect stop-off for those who are starting, midway, or finishing their walk, but also for those who want to catch up with friends or family.

We offer homemade cakes and sandwiches, and also delicious burgers with fries!

You can quench your thirst too here with a range of soft, sparkling, and alcoholic drinks.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

‘Eye Spy’ at Sumners Ponds:

We have created a fun little family activity for you to do when you visit us.

All you have to do is ask for the ‘eye spy’ family activity at reception, and find the things on the sheet!

Disabled Friendly

Sumners Ponds is a accessible fishery for those with a disability. The best lakes to fish are either Farm Pond or Betty’s Lake.

Farm Pond has a purpose built accessible platform with a ramp from the ajoining car park. This spaceous decked area has three large swims which are all disabled priority. The car park for this lake is directly next to the closest fishing swims so there is not far to travel with your equipment.

Betty’s Lake has two disabled parking areas which are very close to the nearest wood-chipped swims.
