Winter Glamping UK – How to have the best experience

Winter Glamping UK | Lakeside Lodge

A winter glamping UK holiday can be just as exciting as a summer holiday. Although on a winter holiday you don’t need to worry about slathering on sunscreen 24/7 or getting sweaty all the time!

Luxury winter glamping in the UK is a perfect way to have a holiday in the colder months, and still enjoy your home comforts!

So how do you have the best winter glamping experience?

Choose who you’re going with

Before you choose your accommodation at Sumners Ponds, you need to figure out who you’re going with, and how many people, as this will determine which one you choose.

Make sure you choose people you love going on holiday with, as you don’t want them to ruin your much-needed getaway!

Find your accommodation

We’re probably (a bit) biased, but our luxury glamping accommodation is perfect for all seasons!

There are many lovely things to do when you’re staying in the Sussex countryside.

There are countless beautiful autumnal walks going through, from, and to Sumners Ponds. Why not bring your four-legged friend along, or switch it up and get the bikes out?

Sumners Ponds is based in Barns Green, Horsham. Horsham is a lovely quaint town, with lots of independent and high street shops. It also has pubs, coffee shops, and restaurants, so there’s something for everyone!

We love playing board games, and card games, so we always recommend bringing some fun games to play with family and friends.

If you don’t want to venture far for food, we have our lovely Cafe by the Lake, which serves breakfast, and lunch. It has lots of options, including an onsite licensed bar, which has lager, beer, cider, and local ales, as well as an extensive wine and spirit selection.

Our other blog, Why West Sussex is Perfect For Autumn Glamping has even more information on how to have the best glamping experience in the Autumn and Winter.

Disabled Friendly

Sumners Ponds is a accessible fishery for those with a disability. The best lakes to fish are either Farm Pond or Betty’s Lake.

Farm Pond has a purpose built accessible platform with a ramp from the ajoining car park. This spaceous decked area has three large swims which are all disabled priority. The car park for this lake is directly next to the closest fishing swims so there is not far to travel with your equipment.

Betty’s Lake has two disabled parking areas which are very close to the nearest wood-chipped swims.
