We have had many people come to Sumners Ponds for camping in Sussex with dogs. Below is a review from one of our lovely customers who stayed in February 2023.

‘We have stayed at Sumners Ponds before in our touring caravan but last week we joined my extended family who stayed in one of the lodges.

The accommodation was fabulous as was the location. Having 2 dogs in the group you really couldn’t get a more dog-friendly location.

Without exception, all staff we met were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble.’

We would like to note: Well-behaved dogs are welcome onto the campsite but should remain on a lead at all times.

See a wonderful review below of someone who stayed at Sumners Ponds and made use of The Dog Meadow and Dog Wood.

‘We booked into the dog meadow which is a field with tunnels and a dog pool and a great wooded area. There’s also dog wood which is mostly woodland with a dog pool. We did this twice a day to give the dogs some freedom, the walks around the site are also lovely too.’

Disabled Friendly

Sumners Ponds is a accessible fishery for those with a disability. The best lakes to fish are either Farm Pond or Betty’s Lake.

Farm Pond has a purpose built accessible platform with a ramp from the ajoining car park. This spaceous decked area has three large swims which are all disabled priority. The car park for this lake is directly next to the closest fishing swims so there is not far to travel with your equipment.

Betty’s Lake has two disabled parking areas which are very close to the nearest wood-chipped swims.
